Tournament Director & Drawmaster

Adrian Webb is Racquetball Canada’s Tournament Director and Drawmaster. Adrian can provide assistance to all those setting up tournaments and adding them to Trackie, the tournament hosting site. Adrian also oversees the Canadian Championships and National Team Selection Events.

Hosting Regional and Provincial Events

All racquetball events and tournaments offered in Canada must be set up and run through Trackie software.  The use of this platform insures that the event is included in the national event listing on the Racquetball Canada website,  that the results are included in national and provincial rankings, that all participants are members of Racquetball Canada and their provincial association and that everyone is covered by insurance.

Hosting Selection Events

Selection events are tournaments used to select athletes for national teams.  In addition to the open category for selection to national teams, the host committee can also hold other categories of competition within the event.

There are two selection events held annually, one in late November and on the first weekend in February.  The dates for these events do not generally change.

The bid process is open to all clubs in Canada provided the racquetball courts are a standard size and in good condition.

Bids to host a selection event are due one year from the event and applications must be sent to the Racquetball Canada Office.

Bids are reviewed and selected by the Sport Development Committee.

Hosting Canadian Junior Championships

The Racquetball Canada National Junior Championship are held annually in late April.  The Junior Nationals are used to select athletes for national junior teams.  Junior competition is for those athletes aged 18 and under.

Bids to host The Racquetball Canada National Junior Championship are due one year from the event and applications must be sent to the Racquetball Canada Office.

The bid process is open to all clubs in Canada provided the racquetball courts are a standard size and in good condition.

Bids are reviewed and selected by the Sport Development Committee.

Hosting Canadian Championships

The Racquetball Canada National Championships are held annually in mid May, beginning on the May Long Weekend and concluding with the formal awards banquet and Hall of Fame inductions one week later.  The national championships are host to a number of different categories of play and this event is used for national team selection.  The open category is streamed live online.

Hosting Pro-Tour & International Events

Application to host an international or tour event is done through the tour or the organization who owns the event.  The links to the tours are noted below.

Clubs or organizations interested in bidding for an international or pro tour event are encouraged to contact Racquetball Canada prior to submitting a bid for an international event, as there are may be ways Racquetball Canada can support the bid.  In addition, national sport organizations are generally asked to endorse international bids from their sports, so it can be helpful to be engaged in the process from the outset.
