The two day Burlington Fall Classic wrapped up Oct 15th with a duel between the Poscai brothers in the Open division. Asher took it to the tie breaker, with Christian taking the title 11-9, 10-11, 11-7, 8-11, 11-7. Hagen Krueger won the Consolation in a tight battle with Reece Young.
Thomas Coughey took the Junior Division championship in an exciting match over Lucas Villegas 11-8, 10-11, 11-8, 11-4.
David Lampron hosted the event at the Burlington YMCA with breakfast, lunch and beverages generously donated by Tim Hortons, Subway, A & W and Coca Cola!
Reece Young also competed in the A Division, earning the win over Byron Haake 11-7, 11-4, 11-8. Chris Jette took the tie breaker over Landon Verrall for the Consolation.
The B Division was taken by Steve Turner in a hard fought match with Matthew Hudson 5-11, 11-6, 7-11, 11-6, 11-9. Peter White captured the Consolation over Lukas Francisco.
Joe King had his first tournament win, taking the C Division over Felipe Villegas 11-7, 11-8, 11-9. The Consolation winner was Lukas Francisco over Julia Verrall.
On the doubles side, Luke Coughey and Byron Haake took first place in the Open/A round robin. Mark Bristol and Peter White teamed up to take the B Division in a tie breaker over Allan Agnew and Brian Tregunno.
